Essential Job Functions: Plan, lead and manage all phases of the intercollegiate

in coordinating supervision of the enforcement of laws, rules and regulations
governing the use and protection of College properties; Write investigative,
incident, activity, and similar reports; investigate and handle complaints.
Requirements: B.A./B.S. degree in law enforcement or related field preferred.
Five years or more as a law enforcement officer or security officer required,
as is experience demonstrating knowledge of safety and security methods and
procedures, especially as they apply to a college campus. Incumbent must have
experience demonstrating good interpersonal and public relations, and presentation
skills, a familiarity with crime prevention and fire safety programs. An understanding
of college students from diverse backgrounds is essential, and the incumbent
must have the ability to be courteous, tolerant and diplomatic with a diverse
college community. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license,
and ability to pass Oberlin College's insurability standards. He/she must be
willing to undergo a background security check as part of an application process.
