Admissions Officer for the Graduate Teacher Education Program at Oberlin College

The Graduate Teacher Education Program invites applications for Director of Admissions. This full-time, 12-month, Administrative and Professional Staff position reports directly to the Director of the Graduate Teacher Education Program (GTEP). Responsibilities: The incumbent will contribute to the overall recruitment and admissions efforts of GTEP and plan and implement procedures and programs for attracting and matriculating students. The Research Analyst/Sr. Asst. Director of Admission and Financial Aid is a critical member of the recruitment, admission and financial aid function of the university. Responsibilities: Work with the Vice President for Strategic Communications and University Enrollment to develop and implement analytic approaches that support the recruitment, admission and financial aid function of the University. Conduct demographic analysis on secondary data using simple statistics: e.g. track historical comparisons of admission data by collecting weekly and monthly data for continual, ongoing assessment. Includes yield percentages from inquiry phase through enrollment phase, breakdowns of geographic distributions, ethnic and gender distributions, and quality indicators of students at each phase. Create and maintain in-depth and predictive models for such indices as the number of admission applications and/or the projected number of matriculants (annual), based upon historical data Provide accurate and consistent information on admission, communication and aid trends in support of OWU's effort to accurately complete institutional surveys such as US News and World Report, The College Board's Annual Survey, Princeton Review, Peterson's Guide, etc. " Research national trends in education using tools such as WICHE projections of high school students, national SAT and ACT data, National Education Statistics, Enrollment Planning Service and the Institute for International Education. Operations Manager for Athletics at The College of Wooster

The Operations Manager at the College of Wooster is a member of the PEC Administrative Team and reports directly to the Director of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation. The Operations Manager's primary responsibilities include: responsibility for and/or have involvement with the following duties: (1) swimming pool operations and maintenance; (2) event management for all sports and contracted activities; (3) student employment supervision and liaison; (4) facility scheduling and maintenance; and (5) building security. Assistant Director of the Learning Center at The College of Wooster

The job of the Assistant Director will be to help the Director with the overall planning and administration of programs and services of the Learning Center. This position also requires assistance with communication of academic support services to students, faculty, parents and others, and helps maintain appropriate records of such. An additional component of the job requires provision of equal access to programs in compliance with state and federal regulations as related to students with learning disabilities. The primary duties of the Assistant Director include: Assisting the Director in developing and conducting workshops for students in relationship to learning strategies and learning styles. Meeting individually with students to counsel them on academic management and progress; assisting students with study strategies, time management skills, faculty communication and overall course management. Assisting with setting and implementing Learning Center policy according to state and federal laws as they apply to the College and its student. Includes presenting and explaining these policies and Learning Center functions to faculty, staff, and students. Interviewing prospective students and meeting with parents to explain Learning Center support services and to answer questions regarding specific available accommodations. Collecting data on Learning Center student use and services for assessment purposes and assisting in maintenance of educational documentation evaluations and records. Assistance in supervising of staff, including scheduling of students with tutors and monitoring student progress. Hiring and training student workers as needed for front desk office assistant tasks and duties. Work on webpage development and updates. Participation in Office of Admissions and other campus office events and programs for prospective and admitted students. Participation in national, state and local professional development activities when possible.Candidates for this position will have Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional requirements are computer proficiency; web page design; strong interpersonal and communication skills; an ability to understand and relate to a diverse student population, and an appreciation for the relationship between the academic and co-curricular programs at a private liberal arts institution.
