Art and Art History at The College of Wooster

Dance at Denison University
Denison University seeks an energetic artist/scholar whose work stems from an Afro-centric perspective to join a vibrant dance program at a private liberal arts college. The dance department is part of a rich and varied Fine and Performing Arts Division that works collaboratively whenever possible, and houses an arts and technology lab with state of the art computer technology. The Dance Department is an independently housed department offering a major and minor. We have two full-time now; this position constitutes a third full-time position. This faculty position will have teaching responsibilities in a form whose movement roots are Africanist, whether traditional or contemporary African, African-American, jazz, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Caribbean, etc. We seek a colleague who can teach dance movement and dance studies in fairly equal proportions.
