The Ohio State University and the Five Colleges of Ohio, Inc., are co-sponsoring up to 30 paid summer research internships exclusively available to students at Denison University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, Ohio Wesleyan University, and The College of Wooster. The 2023 program includes research opportunities in biochemistry, chemistry, mathematics, microbiology, physics, public health, statistics and semiconductors/materials science.
The program is open to any Ohio Five college student, with a special focus on students completing their sophomore or junior years. Applications from women and members of underrepresented groups, including international students, are highly encouraged. Applicants may be from any major, but are expected to have completed foundational coursework in the proposed area of research. The program is especially suited to students interested in a graduate degree in the sciences that they may consider pursuing at OSU. Those who initiate research projects they wish to continue may be invited to continue these activities with OSU following the internship.
Ohio Five invites student applications, including a cover letter, resume, transcript and faculty recommendation, be made through the Ohio Five online application portal. Complete applications are due by February 15, 2023, and decisions will be announced in late March.
