Marcive
Marcive emails notification of new and updated records on a monthly basis. Retrieve records via HTTP from the link in the email.

Marcive always sends two files

FCO0 = new records
-
FCOC0 = replacement records

After download, change filenames to the format marciveyymm (e.g. marcive1511new) and marciveyymmrep (e.g. marcive1511rep) for the replacement file.
New records:

In Sierra, go to Data Exchange

Select Process = Load records via locally created load profiles (local)

Click Get PC
-
Browse desktop to select the MARC file

Click Upload
-
When prompted to rename, remove the .mrc extension and select the .lfts extension from the dropdown menu

Click OK

Click on the .lfts file to select it and click Prep

Click Start
-
Click Close. You will see that a new file has been added to Data Exchange with an .lmarc extension.

Select the .lmarc file and click Load

Select LOAD a MARCIVE file

Test load file to confirm what will happen, check for errors, same number of records, etc.

Click Load
-
Spot check a few of the records in both staff and public displays
Load replacement records:

Repeat this procedure for the Replacement records

Most will be overlays, with some inserts

Record the load details in the shared Google Sheet, CONSORT MARC Record Loads
