The Five Colleges of Ohio and The Ohio State University have partnered to offer up to 30 paid summer internship opportunities that are exclusively offered to students currently enrolled at Denison University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, Ohio Wesleyan University, and The College of Wooster. The 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program provides research opportunities in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Public Health, Statistics, Semiconductors/Materials Research, and Tobacco Regulatory Research.
The SURE program, offered May 20-July 26, 2024, is available to any OH5 college student, with an emphasis on those who have completed their sophomore or junior years. Women and students from underrepresented groups, including international students, are strongly encouraged to apply. Although the program is open to students from any major, applicants are expected to have completed foundational coursework in the proposed area of research. The program is well-suited to students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the sciences.
To be considered for the 2024 program, a completed online application, resume, transcript, and faculty recommendation must be received by February 15, 2024. Decisions are planned to be announced by the end of March 2024.
