What’s Up With ChatGPT?

Session 2: Student Insights on Generative AI and the Future of Learning

Are you curious about how OH5 students are harnessing the power of ChatGPT and generative AI in their academic pursuits? Join us for a virtual lunch and learn session to learn more!

The second session in the OH5 Virtual Lunchtime Series: What’s Up With ChatGPT? will be held on November 29, 2023 from 12-1PM. Excitingly, this session will allow OH5 faculty and staff to engage in dialogue with a student panel, comprised of students in Dr. Albert Borroni’s Fall 2023 course, Minds, Machines, and God

The session will be moderated by three faculty and staff members from Oberlin College, including:

  • Albert Borroni, Director of Educational Technology and Lecturer, Neuroscience/Computer Science
  • Josh Kesterson, Program Coordinator and Lecturer, English
  • Abe Reshad, Director of Language Technology and Academic Support

Students on the panel have spent the fall term studying various forms of generative AI. This discussion offers faculty and staff a special opportunity to gain insights into how students use AI, how faculty incorporate AI into assignments, and what ethical issues concerning generative AI are important to students.

Date: Wednesday, November 29, 2023
